ZeroLemon SolarJuice 26800mAh Review
ZeroLemon’s SolarJuice, a 26800 mAh power bank, is a powerful portable charger and comes bundled with a bunch of useful features. With its rain resistant, shockproof and solar charging capabilities, it’s easy to take this battery pack along on camping trips. This power bank is compact, durable and even though it’s a bit heavy, it has the ability to provide power for pretty much any device. This battery pack will come in very handy if you’re looking to charge two of your gadgets simultaneously.
Charging Technology
With a capacity of 26800mAh, ZeroLemon’s SolarJuice is a durable and potent battery unit you can charge via solar energy or through a wall outlet. While on the go, you can use it to provide power for up to two devices at the same time, even when the power bank is charging. It’s very compatible with many 5V devices, such as tablets, smartphones and even the Nintendo switch. It also comes with Quick Charge 3.0, so you can expect your devices to power up pretty fast. However, it takes between 14-16 hours just to refresh the battery pack using a wall outlet.
The SolarJuice features a solar panel that allows the device to be charged under direct sunlight (200mA per hour charging rate), taking approximately 7 to 8 days to reach full power. The solar indicator glows green to indicate it’s refreshing when the sunbeams on the solar panel. It was designed to be used for emergencies and idle charging only and shouldn’t be used as the primary power source.
This battery pack is a perfect power source for all kinds of devices. It’s very compatible with its two ports, Dual-USB, and Type-C. Each port has a maximum output of 1.5A, and 2.4A, respectively. Dual-USB port supports Quick Charge 3.0. However, in order for the battery pack to recharge your devices, it needs to be turned on. You will just need to press the power button to turn it on/off. The Type-C port can automatically detect any devices connected (input maximum 2.8A) to the unit. The power bank can charge an iPhone 6 up to 10-12 times.
SolarJuice can charge the following devices:
- Smartphones: iPhone 6/XS Max/XS/XR/X, Samsung Galaxy Note 10/10+/9/S10/S10, Plus/S9/S9 Plus, one plus 3/3T/5, Google Pixel
- Tablets: iPad Pro, Samsung Tab
- Macbooks: MacBook 2017/2018
- Other devices: Nintendo Switch
There is also a power indicator on the SolarJuice 26800mAh, so you can easily check to see how your battery pack is doing. The battery’s power level is easily measured with four LED indicators, (0–25%–50%–75%–100%). In order to see the juice level, you will just need to click the power button.
Portability
SolarJuice is a pretty large battery pack, measuring at 6.9 inches long, 3.2 inches wide, and 1.3 inches thick, but it’s still small enough to be used in one hand. It’s also pretty heavy, weighing at 19 oz/563 grams, which is to be expected for such a powerful device. Even so, you can easily fit it inside a backpack or even in a larger pocket.
The power bank is designed to be taken on long journeys, like a camping trip or on hiking routes where there isn’t a wall outlet nearby. It’s also actually pretty safe to take the SolarJuice 26800mAh aboard a flight, since it has 97.28Wh, falling just short of the 100Wh limit set by the TSA.
SolarJuice is heavier than most battery packs that have less capacity. That’s to be expected, given the huge amount of power it can hold, along with the solar panel that’s inside the device.
Look and feel
Overall, the SolarJuice 26800mAh power bank is stylish, compact and durable. The cover doesn’t have any flexibility and it has a rugged feel, making it more compact. The small design gives it easy access and it can be easy to attach to something with the carabiner, so you won’t drop or lose it very easily. The SolarJuice only comes in yellow.
It also comes with a flashlight and SOS alarm. The flashlight is located on the back of the power bank and the SOS alarm is just at the top of the cover. Max brightness, low brightness, strobe, and SOS are the four main light modes; each mode can be switched with one click.
All the USB ports are protected by a cover, which is located on the bottom of the power bank. It comes with 1 USB-micro cable.
Durability & build quality
The SolarJuice 26800mAh is a very sturdy device. The cover is made from rugged material. If you drop it on the ground, it will absorb the impact, so it can’t be broken easily. It’s also water-resistant, shockproof and dirt resistant. You can use it in the rain and it won’t be damaged or affected in any way. The dirt-resistant feature of the SolarJuice makes it easy for hikers, campers, and in-general outdoors people to take along with them and they won’t have to worry about it getting damaged in those conditions.
The device contains built-in protection to help keep it safe from overcharging, overcurrent and overheating. You will be assured that your power bank won’t get damaged from leaving it plugged in, even when it’s finished charging.
This is a great device for the price. Overall, the battery unit is pretty tough and you can expect it to last for a long time. If your gadget is defective or not working properly, you won’t have to worry. The power bank contains a guarantee 36-month ZeroLemon warranty with 24/7 customer service.
