VOOE 24800mAh Review

It’s not a secret that high-capacity power banks are appealing with users because let’s face it, nobody would like to have to recharge a power bank daily, in addition to their smartphone and other devices. Here is the VOOE 24800mAh, a well-designed power bank with two outputs, and plenty of juice to power your devices for several days. At Power Bank Expert, we’ll break down the pros and cons of this power bank so that you can decide if it’s the one you’ve been looking for.

Capacity & Charging speed

With a capacity of 24800mAh, the VOOE 24800mAh is such a potent power bank that you won’t need to use your wall charger for almost an entire week and is highly compatible with 5V devices such as smartphones, tablets, and headphones.

Its true capacity rounds the 17000mAh, which is no surprise because of voltage conversion losses. However, it still powerful enough to give between 5 and 7 full charges to the average smartphone and around 2.5 full charges to the average tablet. In fact, the VOOE 24800mAh is able to power the iPhone X almost 6 times, the Samsung Galaxy S10 5 times, and the  Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 at least 2 times.

The VOOE 24800mA comes with dual USB ports of 5V/2.1A and 5V/1A, respectively. The good thing about this power bank is that the speed of the 2.1A port isn’t diminished while you’re using the 1A port. Thus, it has a maximum output of 5V/3.1A, which is great for charging multiple devices at the same time without resulting in a longer charging time.

In addition, this portable charger features PowerIQ technology that intelligently recognizes the device to charge it the fastest way, and also Voltage Boost technology, which ensures that the charging speed won’t be reduced by cable resistance. Being equipped with such technology, this power bank charges as quickly as other models from Anker,  one of the top brands on the market, but the good news is that it’s more affordable than Anker’s products.

This power bank has a 2.1A micro-USB input port, but on a less positive note,  its total recharging time is somewhere between 12 and 16 hours with a 2.1A wall charger, and logically, almost double the time with a 1A wall charger. However, for a power bank of its capacity, the charging time is reasonable. What matters is that you plan ahead and charge it fully to avoid being out of power when you need it the most.

The VOOE 24800mA allows you to charge your phone and recharge itself at the same time. However, most manufacturers do not recommend to do this since it might lead to damages in its circuitry, possibly from a short circuit. So, avoid doing this to extend the life of your power bank.

Look and feel

The VOOE 24800mAh has an ergonomic, elegant, and minimalist design that you’ll simply love. Its overall look resembles that of the Anker PowerCore 20100, and it features a black matte exterior with a rubber-like texture, which prevents fingerprints or smudges, grants a great grip, and helps to protect it from scratches.

Its body is rectangular with curved corners and is made of plastic (PC) that feels light yet sturdy. The USB output ports are placed on the front, and between them, there’s the micro USB input port. Each of them is labeled with the respective power specification, which is really convenient as you will avoid confusion.

On the top side of the unit, you can find a traditional blue LED power indicator with 4 lights that represent a 25% percent of the internal battery. Next to the power indicator, there’s the power button, which is resistant enough to avoid being switched by accident.

On the other hand, the sides of the unit are simple, free of any functional components or bonus features. In fact, it does not come with an LCD screen or a flashlight, which is a shame since they have become favorites among users.

Durability & Construction

Overall, the VOOE 24800mAh is a high-quality and reliable power bank that performs well, especially considering that it costs just $29.95. It is built with two Li-Polymer premium batteries with an individual capacity of 12400mAh and incorporates smart chips with Power IQ and VoltageBoost.

Besides, the polycarbonate exterior complies with the 94V0 plastics flammability standard, thus protecting devices from overheating, overcharging, and short-circuiting. Besides, the case is sturdy enough to protect the unit against minor drops so you can be sure that it won’t break so easily.

However, in case of any malfunction, you will be supported by a 12-month warranty and 24 hours online service. Just try to protect it as much as possible, given that a bad fall could cause internal damage, which the warranty does not cover.

The VOOE 24800mAh is an average-weight power bank that can be carried anywhere easily. With a size of 6 x 3 x 0.3 inches, it is smaller than an iPhone Xs Max and just a bit bigger than a Samsung Galaxy S10. It’s definitely thicker than the average smartphone but not than most power banks, and still fits perfectly in the palm of your hand.

Considering how big this power bank is in terms of capacity, it does not feel that heavy for weighing 11.8 ounces. Surely, there are other power banks that feel lighter, but what matters is that you won’t get tired of carrying in your hand, and if so, you can still place it into your backpack or pocket without much trouble.

Besides, with a capacity of 91.76Wh, you won’t have any problem taking this power bank aboard a plane, given that the TSA and the FAA do not restrict batteries and power banks under 100Wh.

Final Thoughts

The VOOE 24800mAh is indeed an exceptionally fast power bank with an impressive capacity and a convenient size that allows you to carry it everywhere you go. Besides, it performs well and its two USB ports come handy if you need to charge two devices at the same time. Overall, we recommend the VOOE 24800mAh because it stands as a reliable yet affordable version of power banks of the same capacity from more renowned brands, such as Anker.
