RAVPower 16750mAh Portable Charger at a glance
This could be RAVPower’s most impressive power bank yet. The RAVPower 16750mAh Portable Charger features 2 incredibly fast USB ports, impressively efficient lithium ion batteries and a sleek design. Are these benefits at the sacrifice of size? Maybe, but either way, I was happy to rate this unit among some of the best on this site.
Capacity & Charging speed
This is really where the RAVPower 16750mAh Portable Charger shines. 16750mAh is no small amount for a power bank. What is more important in this case is the realistic and expected charge you can get from a supposed mAh rating this high. I found a higher than average charging capacity for the RAVPower 16750mAh Portable Charger during testing and was impressed by its staying power.
In addition to these well made lithium ion cells, the 2 USB ports provided give a max output of 4.5A. Running simultaneously, this will probably be closer to 3-3.5A but the real benefit here is that both USB outputs are lightning fast. All too often I see dual USB power banks favoring one port or the other. In other words, something like the KMASHI 10000mAh, which features 2 USB ports. One is rated at 1A and the other 2.1A which slows down the overall charging speed of the unit.
The unit also features iSmart technology which very cleverly identifies your device for maximum charge efficiency and you can expect about 500 charge cycles overall which is quite high.
On the downside, even though the RAVPower 16750mAh Portable Charger itself can handle 2A when charging up, when using a standard charger you will experience extremely long charge times. You can always invest in an adapter to speed this process up but in most cases it may take up to a day to charge it completely.

Look and feel
I personally really like the look of the RAVPower 16750mAh Portable Charger unit. It’s beveled edges and LED strip are professional and modern looking. The way it’s designed is quite clever, with all the useful bits on the far edge of the unit. This includes a handy flash light when you need that last minute midnight charge!
The finish of the unit is really nice as well. It has a nice sheen to it and is fingerprint and light-scratch protected. The shape is economical and the LED strip that denotes charge is unique and futuristic looking.
The RAVPower 16750mAh Portable Charger comes with 2 USB to MicroUSB cables (of different lengths), a stylish carry bag and user guide.
Durability & Construction
Generally, the RAVPower 16750mAh Portable Charger is a well made, well constructed and sturdy unit. It comes standard with short-circuit and over-current protection. This should be standard with all power banks however the efficacy varies among brands.
RAVPower generally use very high quality components in their portable chargers and it looks as if this power bank is no exception. One issue that I noticed was some cases of the USB ports failing, one by one. Some people also reporting on charging compatibility issues with their devices. This shouldn’t happen and RAVPower are pretty quick to squash these issues with a refund or exchange.
The RAVPower 16750mAh Portable Charger is a little big. It’s no pocket watch that’s for sure although it’s not as heavy as it looks.
I feel that it’s a trade off however. Very rarely do I come across a high capacity power bank that charges almost as well as it claims and if you don’t mind the extra bulk, it’ll be worth it in the long run.
And it comes with a travel pouch so what you complaining about!?
