Attom Tech 3000mAh Mini Power Bank Review
Attom Tech’s 3000mAh mini power bank is an extremely small charger that can fit just about anywhere. Ideal for a day when you’re going out, it can provide a charge for two devices at the same time. The almost-weightless unit has a bundle of safety features to help provide a safe and stable charge. If you’re looking for something that’s stylish and will charge any gadget, this may be the perfect fit for you.
You can charge the mini power bank through the USB-C, which doubles up as an input/output port. This basically allows you to charge any of your USB devices or the battery itself via USB-C port. It also has a USB-A and micro-USB port to power up any other gadget that needs to be refreshed. Packaging includes a micro-USB cable. This device can replenish type-C devices with a type-C to USB-A cable or type-C to type-C cable (not included). It also allows simultaneous charging for more than one device. The ports have a rating of DC 5V/1A, so it doesn’t charge your mobile devices very quickly.
This mini power bank is compatible with all kinds of electronic gadgets, not just smartphones and/or tablets. The battery life is decent enough to provide a charge to most smartphones 1.5 times. It doesn’t degrade as quickly as other power banks, so you’re guaranteed a longer lifespan for this battery pack. It can also be replenished in about 3-4 hours, which is faster than other smaller devices on the market.
You will not have to press the power button to start refreshing your smartphones, tablets, etc. The internal circuits have been designed to automatically start charging as soon as the phone is connected to the mini power bank.
Attom Tech’s 3000mAh mini power bank measures 3.3” long, 2.1” wide, and 0.35” thick, allowing you to slide it right into your pocket very easily. The small, super slim unit is also very lightweight (2.2 ounces), which is perfect for a day out or even hiking. The size of the mini power bank is very similar to a credit card or even a wallet, so it’s quite easy to stash away in a small, secure place.
It’s also extremely safe to take on an airplane. It only has 11Wh, which is very low and therefore, way below the 100Wh limit stipulated by the TSA.
This device is smaller than Attom Tech’s 5000mAh power bank (5.16” x 2.76” x 0.59”) and a bit lighter (3.2 ounces). Given the capacity of each unit, it’s not surprising that the 3000mAh mini power bank is more compact.
Look and feel
The mini power bank only comes in black and it’s pretty sturdy for its slim size. It features one built-in lithium polymer battery that keeps your device active throughout the day. It also contains a plastic case with a shiny finish, ensuring both durability and comfort for such a compact unit.
On the front face of the charger, you’ll see Attom Tech’s white logo and slogan with a simplistic design. All three USB ports can be found at the top, making it quite easy to connect any of your devices. On the right-hand side, near the top of the device, you’ll find the power button and just beside that, four LED lights. The purpose of the power button is to simply check how much juice is left in your mini power bank. When you press it, the LED indicator lights up. Four lights mean it has 75-100% left, three means 50-75%, two means 25-50%, and one light means 0-25% left.
The package also comes bundled with one micro-USB cable, so you can connect your devices that have a micro-USB port.
Durability & build quality
Attom Tech’s 3000mAh mini power bank is a sturdy device, but it doesn’t have any shock or water-resistance ratings, which is disappointing considering its small size. However, that doesn’t mean the device isn’t protected. The Intelligent Control Circuit provides a bundle of built-in safety features to ensure your mini power bank doesn’t suffer from internal damage while providing a safe and stable charge. It includes protection against over-charging, over-current, over-voltage, short circuit, and much more. It’s also FCC, CE, CCC, and RoHS certified.
When you purchase this tiny charger, you’ll also receive a one-year Attom Tech Warranty. If you’re unsatisfied with your device for any reason, you can return it for a full refund.
Even though this mini power bank’s USB ports have a low rating (5V/1A), it’s still a great device. The lightweight unit is perfect to charge any electronic gadget while you’re spending a day out. It contains four LED lights to display how much power is left in the unit, which is a handy feature if you like to keep an eye on it. You can also charge two devices at the same time while you’re on the go, so there’s no hassle of waiting for one port to complete its charge. Overall, it’s a great battery pack for the price.
